Music Therapy Groups for People with Parkinson’s

Music therapy is an established health care profession. For PWP’s, music therapy has been shown to improve motor skills, vocal production, and social and emotional health. WCMS is offering in-person and remote options.

Group Ukulele

Ukulele is a fun and engaging instrument – it’s portable, fairly inexpensive, great for playing popular music, and fun to sing along with.

Suzuki Piano

Most students begin Suzuki piano instruction between 4 1/2 and 8 years old. The Suzuki Piano program provides young children with a natural, immersive method for learning piano. A unique aspect of the Suzuki program is the high level of parent involvement. Each student works closely with a parent – both at home and in the classroom – attending all lessons and classes together.

Eurhythmics + Piano

This class combines Eurhythmics activities with piano instruction, and is recommended for students who have taken a prior Eurhythmics class or by permission of the instructor.

Eurhythmics + Singing

Give your child the advantage of learning the fundamentals of music by learning to us their first instrument…the voice! Using Dalcroze Eurhythmics movement and ear-training, students will unlock their own musical talent and confidence to be creative, expressive, and musically literate.

Eurhythmics + Melodica & Percussion

For children age 5. This two-semester class combines Dalcroze Eurhythmics instruction with singing and playing small percussion instruments and melodica.

Musical Beginnings

Musical Beginnings is a fun, interactive class in which students move, clap, sing, and dance—wonderful activities that help develop coordination, language, and listening skills. The world of music is explored through songs, movement, stories, games, and age-appropriate instruments.

First Steps in Music

The First Steps in Music curriculum is designed to prepare children to become musical through a variety of songs, activities, games, and rhymes.

Music & Movement

Music & Movement for Families is designed for you and your children (infants to 3 years old) to share music and learning together! Inspired by Dalcroze Eurhythmics methods, you will enjoy playful activities and learn musical elements using new and traditional songs along with classical music.

Group Guitar

WCMS’s Intro to Guitar classes teach you how to play guitar in a fun, relaxed group setting. Our experienced, patient, and caring guitar faculty will have you making music in no time!
