Music & Movement for Families (Infants to 3 years old)

Music & Movement for Families is designed for you and your children to share music and learning together! Inspired by Dalcroze Eurhythmics methods, you will enjoy playful activities and learn musical elements using new and traditional songs along with classical music. During the classes we’ll sing songs, learn how to actively listen to music, express musical elements using our bodies, and play small instruments. Parents (or caregivers) partner with their kids in musical games and dance together.

During the class, children absorb the sounds and rhythms while having fun being musical with movement games and guided activities. As they progress, kids learn rhythms with drums and small percussion instruments as well as with scarves, playground balls, and other fun props. Even infants benefit from the class by feeling the beat while being rocked to the music.

Each participating family should order a music kit with instruments for use during the class, whether choosing the in-person or remote option.

Note: This program can accept new students until the fourth class of the session; please contact the registrar for availability. Tuition will be prorated.
