September 3–7, 2024

Want to know what music classes are like at Winchester Community Music School? Free demos of selected classes are being offered during the first week of September. Come try a class and meet the teachers before fall semester begins on September 9. (Please note that several classes are already filled and are not available for demo week. To see our complete list of classes, click here.)

The week ends with our annual MusicFest event on Sunday, September 8. This school-wide open house includes meet-the-instrument sessions, instrument demos, a scavenger hunt, and an opportunity to explore our building. Faculty members and current WCMS students will show you what makes each instrument unique and fun!

For the demo classes listed below, all participants should be the appropriate age for the class as of 9/1/2024. Schedule subject to change. Classes that fill before Demo Week will be removed from the schedule.

Tuesday, September 3

4:00 PM—Intro to Guitar: Level 1 (Ages 6-9)
4:30 PM—Eurhythmics + Melodica & Percussion (Age 5)
4:45 PM—Intro to Guitar: Level 1 (Ages 6-9)
7:00 PM—Intro to Ukulele: Level 1 (Teens & Adults) – delayed demo due to Labor Day holiday; the class is held on Mondays at 7:00 PM starting September 9
8:00 PM—Intro to Guitar: Level 1 (Teens & Adults)

Wednesday, September 4

3:15 PM—Musical Beginnings (Age 4)

Thursday, September 5

3:45 PM—Eurhythmics + Singing  (Ages 5-9)
4:30 PM—Eurhythmics + Melodica & Percussion (Age 5)
5:30 PM—Intro to Percussion (Ages 7-9)

Saturday, September 7

10:15 AM—Intro to Guitar: Level 1 (Ages 6-9)
11:00 AM—Intro to Ukulele: Level 1 (Ages 6-9)
