September 2–6, 2025

Want to know what music classes are like at Winchester Community Music School? Free demos of selected classes are being offered during the first week of September. Come try a class and meet the teachers before fall semester begins on September 8. (Please note that several classes are already filled and are not available for demo week. To see our complete list of classes, click here.)

The week ends with our annual MusicFest event on Sunday, September 7. This school-wide open house includes a school-wide instrument petting zoo, live demos, a scavenger hunt with prizes, and an opportunity to explore our building. Faculty members and current WCMS students will show you what makes each instrument unique and fun!

For the demo classes listed below, all participants should be the appropriate age for the class as of 9/1/2025. Schedule subject to change. Classes that fill before Demo Week will be removed from the schedule.

Tuesday, September 2

★ 4:00 PM—Intro to Guitar: Level 1 (Ages 6-9)
★ 4:45 PM—Intro to Guitar: Level 1 (Ages 6-9)
★ 7:00 PM—Intro to Ukulele: Level 1 (Teens & Adults) – delayed demo due to Labor Day holiday; the class is held on Mondays at 7:00 PM starting September 8
★ 8:00 PM—Intro to Guitar: Level 1 (Teens & Adults)

Wednesday, September 3

★ 10:00 AM—Music & Movement for Families (Ages 0-3)
★ 10:00 AM—People with Parkinson’s Group (Adults)
★ 11:00 AM—Musical Memories (Adults)
★ 3:15 PM—Musical Beginnings (Age 4)
★ 4:00 PM—First Steps in Music (Ages 3-5) – delayed demo due to Labor Day holiday; space is available in Monday classes at 3:15 PM and 4:00 PM starting September 8
★ 4:00 PM—Intro to Percussion (Ages 7-9)

Thursday, September 4

No demo available for Eurhythmics + Singing 3:45 PM (Ages 5-9) but spaces are still available; starts September 11

No demo available for Musical Beginnings  3:15 PM (Age 4) but spaces are still available; starts September 11

Saturday, September 6

No demo available for Eurhythmics + Melodica & Percussion 10:30 AM (Age 5) but spaces are still available; starts September 13
