Music therapy is an established health profession that uses music and music experiences to meet the physical, emotional, cognitive, and social needs of children, youth, and adults with varying abilities and objectives. Music therapy sessions can facilitate personal musical expression, reduce stress, improve communication, teach developmental skills, manage pain, and help participants explore and grow while experiencing joy through music.
A music therapy session can engage students in singing, listening, moving, playing, and in creative activities for developing life skills. Music therapists are able to meet clients at their own levels and allow them to grow.
