Spring Semester begins February 3, 2025
The First Steps in Music curriculum, created by renowned educator John Feierabend, Ph.D., is designed to prepare children to become musical through a variety of songs, activities, games, and rhymes. Children discover the joy of music while developing listening, language, motor, creative, and social skills. Our goal is to help each child discover their natural musical aptitude, build a musical vocabulary, nourish musical intelligence, and develop a lifelong love for music.
The curriculum is designed to prepare children to become musical in three ways:
This class will provide your children with a solid musical foundation that will help them excel in their future endeavors with singing, dancing, and playing instruments.
First Steps offers extra flexibility to accommodate a range of learning styles and abilities. Children enrolling in this class should be sufficiently independent to spend 45 minutes away from their caregiver and use the restroom on their own. Please contact the registrar if you need assistance choosing a class that is developmentally appropriate for your child.
Note: This program can accept new students until the fourth class of the session; please contact the registrar for availability. Tuition will be prorated.
