String Department Master Class: Discovering the Artist Within

Violinist and violist Laura Bossert will lead a performance master class for select WCMS students on enhancing artistic expression in their playing.

A Silver Medalist in the Henryk Szeryng International Violin Competition,  Bossert is highly sought after as both a performer and a music educator. She has appeared in collaboration with Elmar Oliveira, Joseph Silverstein, and others as well as with ensembles including the Muir, Shanghai, Invoke, Hausmann & Lark String Quartets. This season, she will perform the world premiere of Roberta Sierra’s Near to the End as a guest artist with the Society of New Music (Syracuse, NY). Bossert is also a longtime faculty member at Wellesley College and the summer Castleman Quartet Program, as well as Director of the LyricaFest Music Festival.
